Arrival and departure at the washing station
Good to know before arriving at the wash point
It is advisable to arrive at the wash point about 15 minutes before your booked time. Sometimes the wash master can take your boat earlier if the schedule allows. On busy or windy days, the schedule may vary slightly, but we always try to receive you at the agreed time. When on the sea, conditions can sometimes affect the schedule, both for the washer and the boater.
When the wash begins
- Our wash master always knows who is coming and ensures it is the correct boat. Have your booking details ready if needed. After this, our wash master will inform you when you can approach the washer.
- Drive as slowly as possible to the middle of the brushes. Our wash master will lower the brushes underwater before you arrive at the washer.
- Turn off the engine once the wash master has attached your boat’s winch rope. He usually gives a signal: “attached”. Now you can lift the engine or the drive unit up.
- The wash master checks the location of parts outside the hull/bottom, such as the sonar transducer, and that the bottom does not have poison-painted paint from the same season. After this, the washer will register your arrival using a form.
- Depending on the weight of the boat, the wash master may ask you to move around in the boat. This can influence the angle of the brushes and improve the washing result.
Leaving the wash point
Our wash master will guide you towards the end of the wash. He will tell you, among other things, when you can lower and start the engine.
Once the boat is launched from the trailer into the water, it is important to wait until the winch rope has been detached from the bow. Our wash master will confirm when you can start reversing out of the wash point.
